I am a self-taught user of several Adobe programs. Specifically, I am skilled in InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator. I use each on a regular basis.
Currently, I serve as public relations specialist at the Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams. I conduct market research, write press releases, newsletter articles and donor letters, conduct SEO for our website, connect with local and regional media, and track coverage. I also manage all of the Lilly Center’s social media and assist with project advertising and promotions. I review all written material before it leaves our doors. I’m very familiar with donor-centric language and excel in telling compelling stories.
While earning my bachelor’s in journalism, I assisted with media and government relations, conducted interviews, and generated press releases for every department at Grace College. My goal was to increase media coverage and public awareness of the school. I wrote and edited various PR materials, tracked media coverage and managed media contacts. Layout & Design
My current position requires me to actively challenges me to creatively employ page and editorial design. I also create original design elements (primarily flat design and digital painting) and use them in printed and digital materials such as infographics or fact sheets. I use Adobe Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop nearly every day.
I was the design editor of Grace College’s student newspaper during the 2016-17 school year. Using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, I created the pages’ layouts and altered photos. I also communicated regularly with writers and other editors.

At the Lilly Center, I manage all social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) and address the target audience for each with tailored content. Our reach has grown exponentially since I was hired in 2018.
In 2017, I completed a six-month social media internship with Bright Hope International, Hoffman Estates, Ill. My tasks included writing and posting original content to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I scheduled up to five posts each week and planned media two-to-three weeks in advance. I also edited images to include with each post.
While I was a student at Grace College, I completed an 8-week social media practicum at 212 Media Studios in Warsaw, Ind. While at 212, I created media proposals, wrote and scheduled Facebook posts and researched best practices for effective social media.
